Install the app on your device

MowNext is a web app that can be installed from the browser on supported devices. The install prompt appears when the browser allows it.

Installing helps field users get faster access from the home screen and supports the offline-first field workflow.

What works offline

  • Recently loaded route data can be cached by date.
  • Job start, complete, skip, and update actions can be queued.
  • Time clock punches can be queued.
  • Photo upload and photo metadata can be queued.
  • The offline banner shows when you are offline, syncing, or when queued items need attention.

What should be done online

  • Create customers and office records while online.
  • Send invoices and estimates while online.
  • Take customer payments while online.
  • Fix billing, subscription, and account setup issues while online.

How syncing works

Queued field changes are stored on the device and retried when the browser detects the network is back. Failed items can be marked as needing attention after repeated attempts.

Offline data is scoped to the signed-in account and user. If the account or user changes, old queued data is cleared so one user does not sync another user's field work.

Best field practice

  1. Open Route before leaving strong service so the day is loaded.
  2. Install the app if your device supports it.
  3. Do not clear browser storage if you have offline work waiting to sync.
  4. After reconnecting, leave the app open until the offline banner clears.
  5. If a photo or action needs attention, retry from the app before recreating the work.
