Overseeding is most effective right after aeration — the holes give the seed soil contact. It's a fall service in cool-season regions and a less common (but growing) service in warm-season transition zones.
Why it matters for lawn care operators
Overseeding bundles cleanly with aeration as a single visit, which doubles the per-property revenue. Cost of seed is small relative to the labor that's already on the property.
